After last week’s result of achieving 95% success on status report submissions, we seem to be taking a big step backward with only a 45% submission rate!
Recently students have requested access to the answers the questions presented in the textbook. Having reviewed the notice attached to the material it seems that unfortunately I cannot provide this information:

In today’s class we will continue reviewing computer peripherals and Chapter 12.
Based on feedback we may need to spend some time on the Assignment questions. If so I will extend the due date.

We are going to jump all the way to the end of the textbook to understand the Limits of Computation and more advanced computer technology. Any time remaining will be spent working on our projects.
The quiz must be completed before Sunday July 31. Note: The college is closed on Monday for the BC Day holiday.

No Lab This Week
Owing to the Columbia College 80th Anniversary Celebration at Nat Bailey Stadium, the college will close at noon on Wednesday. As a result there will be no lab period this week.
- Lab 9 is due on Thursday, July 27
- Assignment 7 is due on Thursday, July 27
We will be in Room 448 today.
In the class we will start a new topic to understand databases. There will be a quiz after the class which must be completed before our lesson on Thursday.

I have updated the chart showing the status of project deliverable items received. There is a significant improvement in reporting this week. 26 students achieved the reporting deadline of Friday at 6:00 pm and only two students failed to provide status reports.
I have found errors in the test vectors used in the verification of the circuit. The updated file contains the corrections which are highlighted on page 4.
In today’s class we will complete Chapter 10 and begin reviewing Chapter 11. I will also hand out Assignment 7.
